As a practically lifelong resident of Williamsport and
a
"veteran"
musician,
maintaining
this
website
is a
labor of
love for
me, more
than
anything
else.
It's a
lot of work,
and I run
it by
myself in
my spare
time, but
it's well
worth it
to me ...
and
hopefully

This is
my way of
offering
support
to my
fellow
musicians
and
artists,

also
offering

and
much-needed

community

needed a

very long

so I
decided
to do
something
about it

instead
of
waiting,
hoping or
complaining.

blessed

belong
to an
incredible
group of
talented
musicians,
as well

performers,
artists

artisans
that call
Williamsport
home. We
have one
of the
best
musical &
cultural
scenes
around,
and
believe
me, I've
been
around.
Folks
just need
to know
where to
look and
what
there is
to
discover,
and I
developed
this
website
to let
them
(you)
know. To
all of those
that
would say
that
there's
nothing
to do
around
here, I
would
simply
say, in
reply,
that
you
need to
get out
more
often and
expand
your
cultural
horizons
beyond
the view
from your
barstool
or
recliner.
You
can
find
something
fun
to do
any
day
or
night
around
Williamsport,
and
having
traveled
the
country
(and
beyond)
and
having
lived
in
Boston
for a
short
but
delightful
spell
...
I'm
here
to
tell
you

is a
great

or

Aside
from my
simple
goal of
wanting
to
promote
all that
our area
has to
offer and
to
provide
helpful
resources
to my
fellow
artists
and
residents
both,
I
also want
to do my
part in
involving
our
community
in its

culture

through

mutually-beneficial
support
and
active,
personal
involvement
... we
can
achieve
great
things
here in "Billtown." Williamsport
has the
potential
to be the
cultural
"mecca"
of the
entire
state (if
not
beyond),
and we
enjoy a
proud
history
that
proves it's
possible.
Toward that end, I decided to make all advertising and
featured
listings
on my
site free
... for
anyone,
or any
business
or
organization,
that is
part of
our
cultural
community.
Free
advertising
is also

downtown,
culturally-relevant
businesses
as well.
Why would
I just
give away
advertising
on what
has
become
the most
popular
local
website
of its
kind?
That's
easy. I
want
downtown
Williamsport
to come
alive and
thrive!
I also hope to offer even more than just a website ...
in the
form of
hosting
monthly
musical
events,
having
contests
to vote
for
favorite
bands or
musicians,
to
inaugurate
an
annual,
local
music
awards
ceremony,
to
create
an
annual
musicians
conference
with
speakers,
clinics,
live
showcases
and
music
industry
professionals
... and to
also expand on
the
annual
charity
jazz
festival
which was
started
many
years ago
by my
dear
friend
Bob Leidhecker
(in
support
of his
late
father
and
the
Lycoming
County
Multiple
Sclerosis
Self-Help
Group).
Along
the
way,
I'll
also
hope
to
help
other
local
organizations
with
their
annual
cultural
events.
Lofty
goals,
perhaps
...
but
goals
well
worth
the
effort
to
achieve
them.
I'd love for you to make my
